Beneath the Dome
'Beneath the Dome' is set in an alternate reality and follows the adventures of two Russian cosmonauts on board the International Space Station. The Earth, though similar to ours, has a major food shortage and in Russia, factions fight for better food equality.
On the Space Station, Yuri Chekov and Dmitry Usakov, our two cosmonauts, are beginning a three month tour of duty and are looking forward to their first day on board. However, after a restless night's sleep, things quickly dissolve into chaos and take a turn for the worse as Yuri and Dmitry become embroiled in a series of unfortunate events. Within the first few hours, cameras are turned off, computers are burnt out, consoles are chewed up and fires break out. The introduction of a pet mouse may have had a minor influence on these events, but who can say?
Beyond the Dome
In this sequel to 'Beneath the Dome', Dmitry and Yuri fight for survival in a broken and crippled Space Station. With oxygen supplies low, they work fast to put out fires and restore part of the Station to a liveable condition. After sealing off a few valves and closing the odd door, they return to their quarters to assess the situation. Cigarettes and whisky deliver some comfort as they prepare for a voyage into the unknown.
In this second instalment, tension builds like an over stretched rubber band and the plot thickens like soup on an unwatched stove.
Downfall Part I
In part one of the third instalment, Yuri and Dmitry have little time to rejoice and celebrate their return home before catastrophe strikes. Unfortunately, their plans to inform the world of their miraculous resurrection from the ashes is quickly thwarted by a devastating explosion at the Four Seasons hotel. Thrown out into the street with the debris, Yuri and Dmitry unconvincingly try to explain to a befuddled scout leader that they are not revenants or ghosts and have indeed returned alive.
Amongst the chaos and carnage, Yuri and Dmitry are then mistakenly identified as two terrorists called Alexander Ivanov and Viktor Popov and are arrested by a military task force. This proves to be just the start of their troubles and the beginning of a life on the run as two fugitives.
